New AI Provider: Gemini Support
Any organization can now be switched from Azure OpenAI to Google Gemini for the conversational part of the experience — meaning your live agent and avatar interactions. It doesn't matter when your Space was created; the switch applies to conversations going forward. Your Napster team can configure the preferred provider for your organization.
Space creation and your knowledge base system are not affected by the switch. When moving to Gemini, our team may make minor adjustments to ensure your knowledge base content performs at its best with the new provider.
Voice Selection for Avatars
Space creators can now choose their avatar's voice. A new dropdown on the Avatar step lets you browse and preview available voices before selecting one. The voices come from the underlying AI provider, so the options will vary depending on whether your organization is running on OpenAI or Gemini.
Smarter Knowledge Base Handling
We've updated how the agent prioritizes your uploaded knowledge base files. The agent now understands what each file is about, and when a user's question is relevant, it will prioritize information from your knowledge base over general AI knowledge. For unrelated questions, the agent behaves normally. This works consistently regardless of which AI provider you're using.

File Uploads During Live AI Experiences
Users can upload PDFs or images directly within an interactive AI experience to add context to the conversation. The AI can review and discuss the uploaded content.
Why this matters
Enables richer, context-aware AI conversations
Supports real workflows like document review, training, or visual explanations
Reduces back-and-forth by grounding the AI in user-provided materials
Supported formats: PDF, image files. Other file types are not supported.

Enterprise Access & Governance
Invite-Only, Login-Gated Experiences
Creators can now restrict access to experiences through an invite-only access share setting. When an experience is marked as private, viewers must log in before accessing content. This enables secure, controlled deployments suitable for internal training and enterprise workflows.
As part of this, Viewer role is introduced in the product. providing view-only access for authenticated users. This ensures sensitive content remains protected while still allowing broader visibility across the organization.
Viewer Identity Tracking in Analytics
Analytics now attribute session activity to the logged-in user’s email. This enables per-user engagement reporting, personalization, conversational memory, and a path for deeper insights in the future.
Basic Conversational Memory
Spaces now supports storing and reusing past conversation context for authenticated users. This enables richer, more personalized interactions across sessions, supporting use cases like training progress, returning customers, and multi-step coaching scenarios.
Multi-Organization Account Management
Single Account Across Multiple Organizations
A single user email can now belong to multiple organizations. This is particularly useful for agencies, multi-brand enterprises, and puts the groundwork for resellers who manage several clients within Spaces.
Organization Switcher in the UI
A new organization switcher is available in the top navigation bar, allowing users to move seamlessly between organizations without logging out. This provides a smoother workflow for anyone operating across multiple teams.
Visual Quality Improvements
Upgraded Imagery Model for Spaces Backgrounds
Spaces now uses an enhanced model to produce the background environments shown behind the AI agent. Scenes are more realistic, visually coherent, and polished.
General UX Enhancements
Help Button in the End-User Experience
A new Help button has been added to the end-user interface, offering quick access to support or additional guidance during the interaction.

For stores that run on Shopify we have introduced several new features and improvements:
1. Cart and Shopify Checkout
Products can be added to an internal cart that is connected to the native Shopify checkout.
Note that this will work end-to-end only if you use the Space via Full URL or embedded into a website as a module. It will not work with Agent-only embed.
Spaces now allows shopping cart interactions through Shopify’s MCP get_cart and update_cart events. Customers can:
Add products with variants
Update quantities
View cart contents
Get guided toward checkout
This update enhances shopping conversion by enabling natural, conversational cart operations directly through the AI Agent.

2. Product variants
AI can see and display product options and variants in most cases when the Space is created based off a Shopify URL.
Note: when a Shopify store is on a subpath of a core website, the AI may not identify it as Shopify and not establish an MCP connection.
Improvements to existing features
Link Preview
When a link to Spaces is shared on social media or in messengers, the preview is automatically generated.
Updated Design of Product Cards
Product cards now have a white background instead of a transparent black one for better visibility and use the new family of fonts introduced across other Napster products.
Bug fixes
Duplicate answer
The issue of an AI agent giving the same answer twice, or rephrasing and replying with a very similar sentence, has been fixed.
New model from Azure OpenAI
This new model is General Availability and introduces significant improvements, if not eliminates the following issues:
agent stopping the conversation abruptly,
switching from one language to another without being requested,
switching from male to female voice,
hissing sounds.
We continue our observations on agent behaviour and welcome your feedback on the points above, in particular, to measure the improvements.

Enhanced Embed Communication via postMessage
You can now fully interact with Napster Spaces and MentorSite embeds using the postMessage API. Parent pages can receive product recommendations (RESULTS) and live conversation transcripts (TRANSCRIPTS), as well as proactively send questions, stop the assistant mid-talk, or end sessions programmatically. This allows for richer integrations, such as real-time product carousels, automated FAQs, and CRM transcript logging. More info here.
